In the 1970s, Sheik Ahmed Zaki Yamani was Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Oil and Natural Resources. His famous quote “The Stone Age didn’t end for lack of stone, and the oil age will end long before the world runs out of oil” still applies today. If the wind industry is going to meet its 20% goal by the year 2030, it will require innovation and cooperation from unconventional areas.
Investment Opportunities
With the recent developments in the country’s financial sector, traditional financing has been drying up. In order to expand the wind industry, alternative financing will have to be sought. We will all have to think outside the box.
